Spotlight Dance Academy offers professional dance classes in a fun, relaxed setting. Dance
lessons specializing in jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, combo dance classes and more. Located in Waunakee WI, Spotlight
Dance Studio caters to many nearby communities; Dane Deforest, Lodi, Sun Prairie, Middleton and more. Erin Cotter and
Tiffany Igielski opened the doors of Spotlight Dance Academy in June of 2006, and have been growing ever since! Born and raised
in the Dells/Baraboo area, dance has always been a big part of their lives. Both Erin and Tiffany started dancing at the age
of 2. In 2001 they began teaching and choreographing for their instructor in Baraboo. After teaching for 5 years, they decided
to follow their dream of opening their own studio, and moved to Waunakee.
Some dance experiences that they have
had include teaching jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and lyrical to ages 2 to adult, dancing in the production of the Rainforest
Ballet with the David Taylor Dance Company, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Phantom of the Opera, Sleeping Beauty, a halftime performance
for the Harlem Globetrotters, choreographing and coaching for dance teams at the high school and college levels, and
attending numerous conventions and competitions with Dance Olympus, Tremaine, Dupree, Company Dance, Showstoppers, and
more! They also have gotten the privilege of privately training with national known choreographer and instructor Julianne
Oster, and most recently Hokuto "hok" Konishi from America's Best Dance Crew, and So You Think You Can Dance. Hok
spent 3 days in Waunakee working with Spotlgiht Dance Academy staff and students on technique and choreography.
On June 1, 2009 we moved to our new Dance Studio in Waunakee, Wisconsin. This new
dance studio is even more convenient to those traveling to dance classes from Madison's North Side, Madisons East Side, Windsor,
Deforest, Sun Prairie, Lodi and Dane. Come check out our new dance studio situated just off of Hwy 113 at
Arboreturm Dr. adjoining the Waunakee Savannah Village neighborhood and near the Arboretum Elementary School.
